The Tlu-piich Games began in Port Alberni on Tuesday with morning canoe races at Canal Beach. Pictured are Josh Fred and Vance Seiber of the Tseshaht First Nation, who paddled to a win in their 200-metre race in the adult category. Other races were held for 7-10, 11-14 and 15-18-year olds.
