The Vast Centre Alternative Adult and Choices school programs celebrated academic achievement in the face of challenges, hardships and obstacles with a graduation ceremony at the Capital Theatre on June 13. About 100 students this year were eligible to cross the stage to receive their diplomas. Forty students were able to attend the ceremony. Adding to the emotion of the evening was the fact that this year, long time principal of the program Tom McEvay, is set to retire. Pictured with the graduates are SD70 Board Chair Larry Ransom and SD 70 Superintendent Cam Pinkerton
