It’s time to register for Alberni Forest Fest’s Words in the WoodsWriters Festival Workshops being held at North Island College in Port Alberni on Saturday, July 30thfrom 9 a.m. to noon. Also available is a lunch featuring barbecued wild salmon, rice or pasta, salads, dessert and beverage.
Choose a workshop by Jack Hodgins (narrative writing for not yet published writers), Brian Brett (writing memoir), Ivan Coyote (talking the talk: a live performance workshop), Wendy Murton (poetry – broadening your skills), Nikki Tate (writing for children) or Caroline Woodward (knowing your characters in fiction/non-fiction).
Your workshop fee includes a panel discussion at McLean Mill on Friday, July 29, workshop on Saturday morning July 30, solo reading session at McLean Mill on Saturday afternoon July 30, local writers solo readings at McLean Mill, Sunday, July 31 and all other Forest Fest activities.
Workshop seats will be filled on a first-come-first-served basis.
