Tofino
The prime minister's trip to Vancouver Island extends to Tofino today, where Justin Trudeau plans to meet with First Nations leaders.
After a kayaking trip at the Gulf Islands National Park Reserve just south of Victoria, Trudeau is scheduled to head to Tofino this afternoon, where discussions will include hearing the priorities of Nuu-chah-nulth chiefs, according to the prime minister's press secretary. Trudeau's meeting in Tofino follows several days of travelling through British Columbia this week, time that included visiting locations affected by the province's recent wave of forest fires.
