The highlight of the evening was the induction of two new members of the Nuu-chah-nulth Sports Hall of Fame, Willard Gallic of Tseshaht and Richard Lucas of Hesquiaht, both players and builders of Nuu-chah-nulth sports.

Tlu-piich Games Aug. 5: Canoe Clinic
Time for some practise in the canoes before the competition. On Tuesday, Aug. 5 as the Tlu-piich Games set to open, organizers paired up experienced paddlers with those with little or no experience in the canoes for some practise before competition the next day.

Ditidaht First Nation hosts TRC Paddle Day
The Ditidaht chose June 11, 2012, the National Healing Day of Reconciliation, as a way of reclaiming their love and passion for canoeing and their culture and each year they host a Paddle Day and invite neighboring schools. Denise Titian attended this year's events and got these photos.
