FIRE BAN – Pacific Rim National Park Reserve

Parks Canada has implemented a general fire ban for Pacific Rim National Park Reserve due to the extreme fire danger. Effective immediately, all open fires are prohibited throughout Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, including the Long Beach Unit, Broken Group Islands and West Coast Trail.

The prohibition includes campfires, tiki torches, candles and any open flames. The only appliances exempt from the fire ban are gas or propane stoves and barbeques that are specifically designed for cooking food, as well as CSA / ULC certified portable campfire apparatuses with a flame less than 15cm.
