Ucluelet, BC
A small earthquake rattled the west coast of Vancouver Island Tuesday morning. The United States Geological Survey (USGS) website reports that the 3.8 magnitude quake struck 14 kilometres north of Ucluelet at a depth of 4.9 kilometres at 9:08 a.m.PDST on Sept. 5.
The shaking was felt as far inland as Port Alberni and as far south as Port Renfrew. People in the Tofino/Ucluelet areas also report feeling the earthquake.
There was no tsunami warning following the incident.
