It's fun and it's free! The Tseshaht Youth Centre is hosting a summer camp for kids, ages six to 11, living within the Tseshaht community.
"There will be lots of day-to-day fun stuff," said sports recreation youth worker Tyrone Marshall.
The "fun stuff" will include arts and crafts, sports, field trips, and a super fun slip-and-slide for those hot summer days.
Marshall will be leading the program with the assistance of two Grade 11 students, Val Cartlidge and Harlee Sam.
Cartlidge said she is sporty, enjoys basketball and is really starting to like softball.
Sam will be assisting the summer camp kids with painting, her personal favourite art form, as well as other craft activities.
There is still plenty of room for more campers, said Marshall. If numbers permit, kids will be able to drop in and don't need to attend the full 10 a.m to 4 p.m.
For more information or to register contact Marshall at 250-724-7320.
The summer camp runs from July 12 to Aug. 18.
